City Legal Services is committed to offering a website that is accessible to the greatest possible audience without restrictions due to technology or user skills. We are in constant process of improving accessibility and ease of use of the website and are working to follow common standards and guidelines.
We aim for our site to follow the Web Accessibility Initiative and conform to Level A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. We support the mandate of making the web more accessible for all users through conforming to the guidelines that have been established.
Our site is constructed with compliance to W3C standards for XHTML and CSS. In current browsers, the site is compliant and displays correctly. As such, future browsers will also display according to these standards.
City Legal Services always aims to maintain adherence to these accessibility and usability guidelines and standards. However, this is not possible in every circumstance.
We will continue to improve our website as opportunities for increased accessibility become available. If you have any difficulties accessing the City Legal Services website please do not hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help.
It is possible to change the text size in your browser to improve readability with the following options:
Click to open the ‘Appearance’ window, then ‘Safari’ and ‘Preferences’. From preferences, you can select the desired font size that will apply to all webpages you visit.
Click to open Internet Explorer, and click the ‘Alt’ key to bring up the menu bar. Then select ‘View’ and then ‘Text size’ and choose any option from text size ‘Smallest’ to ‘Largest’. This allows you to choose the optimal size for your viewing comfort. The default setting for text size is ‘Medium’.
Select ‘View’ and then ‘Zoom In’ to make text larger, or ‘Zoom Out’ to make text smaller.
Select ‘View’ and then ‘Text size’ and ‘Increase’ or ‘Decrease’ to change the text size to the optimal size.
Select ‘View’ and then ‘Zoom’ and select the image size for website viewing. The selection will change the size of the entire site, rather than just the text.
Click the ‘Alt’ key for the temporary menu then click ‘View’ then go to Zoom and click ‘Zoom Text Only’ and choose your desired text size.
Select ‘Start’ then ‘Settings’ then ‘Control Panel’ then ‘Display’ then ‘Settings’ and use the slider bar to change the desktop area for your personalised viewing choices.
Click the ‘Help’ tab at the top of the screen. Enter ‘change text size’ (or any aspect of display you wish to change) and follow the instructions.
