Doctor, Nurses. Paramedics and their family members will benefit visa extension offered by the Home Office for one year, if their current leave is due to expire before 1st October 2020 and will be automatic and free of charge.
Home Office has confirmed that Chinese nationals currently in the UK, will be subject to an automatic extension of their leave until 31st March 2020 if they have been compliant with the conditions of their visa prior to the coronavirus outburst.
The key change is that, if an application is likely to be refused, then a ‘Minded to Refuse notification’ letter will need to be sent to the applicant.
The route will open in the summer of 2021 for students who will graduate on or after summer 2021 to apply for from within the UK.
The changes to the Immigration Rules announced by the UK government on 09th September will be mostly coming into effect on 01 October 2019.
The scheme will be open to International graduates from next academic year allowing them to stay in the UK for 2 years further to graduation.
The increased fee will be £400, doubled from the previous £200 for each year of the visa duration applied.
According to the Statement laid before Parliament, these reforms will be introduced in the spring and is aimed to ensure that the UK remains a world-leading destination for investment and innovation.
